While pursuing my undergraduate degree in Exercise Physiology at Gordon College I had the opportunity to work as a Physical Therapy Aid, and Athletic Trainer at the on campus physical therapy center, Harmelling Physical Therapy. As a Physical Therapist Aid I assisted in developing and administering rehabilative programs for clients, and monitor clients in strength training programs. Also, a Sports Trainer to Gordon College’s men and women’s athletic teams I assisted in injury assessment and treatment for athletes. The knowledge gained from that opportunity has helped to build the foundation for teaching others to lead a healthier and more active life through the practices taught at SET Fitness.
Following my education at Gordon College I pursued a professional tap dancing career. While doing my understudy with Bunny Briggs and performing across the United States with many other talented dancers I founded SET Fitness and began working with others to reach their fitness goals.
Over the past 13 years I have continued my education and received certifications allowing me to expand my services to not only athletes who are looking to meet a personal goal but individuals with special needs such as Parkinson’s Disease, Down syndrome, Ischemic Brain Disease, Fibromyalgia , Chronic Fatigue Syndrome, Multiple Sclerosis, and Rheumatoid Arthritis.
With over 15 years of training experience I have designed and created safe and effective dynamic core training exercise programs that challenges everyone’s fitness level. Clients will learn and acquire the skills they need to make healthy nutritional decisions as well as lifestyle choices. I am dedicated to helping you succeed in order to live a healthier life! Learning to unleash the desire within you and develop an improved sense of being. Physically you will be challenged to work every muscle in your body. Discovering the potential you have within yourself and apply it to all of your workouts!
